The main thing it has in common with such sets is its blockiness, and that’s inevitable since it’s based on such a blocky-looking subject in the first place. Perhaps that’s true as far as its sheer size goes, but most Creator sets back then (particularly low-priced ones) were neither this well articulated, nor did they feature as much textural detail or SNOT building. I also disagree of it looking like a $15 Creator set from 2007. Considering that those sets are usually not available anywhere outside the convention itself and tend to cost as much as $40 for an average piece count of 186, a BlizzCon tie-in set being available online at a price of $25 feels downright generous by comparison. In that respect, it’s less analogous to a regular retail set or even a store exclusive, and more to the 2012–2018 SDCC and NYCC exclusive sets. aanchir Octoat 10:37 With regard to the price I think it has a lot less to do with it being “the first set” and more to do with it being a limited release exclusive - specifically one designed to tie in with next month’s BlizzCon event, where I think we will see the theme as a whole being revealed in greater detail. (EDIT: Check out the full line of LEGO Overwatch sets here.)ħ5987 Omnic Bastion comes with 182 pieces and sells for $25.00 USD from the Blizzard Gear Store online until supplies run out. Lego Bastion They can return only if Blizzard is so much short-sighted as to put them on sale for quck buck but then they risk to tank their sales for any promo skins down the line as nobody will see them as anything special. I am personally looking forward to see what else LEGO has planned, based on this first entry in the Overwatch line. But as a limited Blizzard exclusive and the first ever LEGO Overwatch set ever produced, the cost seems more justifiable (even with a few stickers). (I moved a few pieces around from the arms to get the two shoulder armor plates in the right position, and I removed his head since there is no room for it to descend into the torso–I shoved it under the back of the build to prevent it from tipping backwards.)Īt nearly 14 cents per piece, the set seems a little overpriced if it were a typical LEGO product. Instructions are not given to transform Bastion into Sentry-mode, so I tried to get the look with as few adjustments as possible. The main model features the robot in his standing Recon-mode, though Bastion has two other modes in the game: Sentry and Tank. It remains to be seen if and how LEGO will make the character at minifigure scale, but at this small mecha-scale, Bastion works well and can be posed in many different positions. Bastion stands over 4 inches tall, with Ganymede perched atop his shoulder plate. You can also get a pretty good idea of what Brick Bastion looks like, as well as what it sounds like, through the brief teaser trailer down below.Overall, the first ever LEGO Overwatch set does not disappoint. Overwatch and Lego have a pretty decent relationship. Blizzard Entertainment The San Francisco Shock got me good. TJ Denzer, Septem2:18 PM first-person shooters Action skins Featured Overwatch Shooters Overwatch has launched a new event with Lego and the biggest prize available is a new Bastion Brick Legendary skin. The latest event, however, is a little bit more special! Instead of simply rewarding a recolored epic skin, Bastion’s Brick Challenge offers you a chance to grab a Lego themed Bastion skin. The Lego-themed Bastion skin is one of the few crossover looks in Overwatch. Not much in the grand scheme of things, but it's certainly a fun little addition. Usually these events require you to win nine matches in any game mode, and reward a couple of sprays and a fancy new epic skin for your troubles. In order to bridge the gap between major content updates, Blizzard has started releasing more and more mini-events. : It took a while for the next big crossover to arrive, but Overwatch 2 has now released a bunch of One-Punch Man themed character skins!
